This Indenture, Made the thirty first day of August in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty five between William Kisel and his wife Emeline L. Kisel of the Town of Blissfield in the County of Lenawee and State of Michigan of the First Part, and Lysander Ormsby of the Town of Blissfield and County of Lenawee and State of Michigan of the Second part, Witnesseth, That the parties of the First Part, in consideration of the sum of Sixty Dollars to them duly paid, have sold, and by these presents do Sell Grand and Convey to the said party of the Second Part his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of Land, situated in the Town of Blissfield in the County of Lenawee and State of Michigan bounded and described as follows:

Commencing at the South East Corner of the west half of the South east quarter, of Section one in Township Seven South of range five East from thence running North forty rods from thence Running west twenty Rods from thence running South forty Rods from thence Runing East twenty Rods to the place of Beginning Containing five Acres of Land

Together with all the Appurtenances and all the Estate, Right, Title and Interest therein of the First Part, to have and to hold the said premises as above described, with the appurtenances, and all the Estate, Title and Interest therein of the parties of the first part, to the said party of the Second Part, His heirs and assigns forever, and the said Parties of first part do hereby covenant and agree to and with the party of the Second part, His Heirs and Assigns, that the above bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the Second Part, His heirs and Assigns against any person claiming or to claim the same by through or under the said parties of the first part They will forever warrant and defend.

On this Thirty first day of August A. D., 1855, before me, the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County of Lenawee personally appeared William Kissell & Emeline Kissell to me known to be the persons described in, and who executed the within DEED and acknowledged that they had severally executed the same, and the said Emeline L. Kissell wife of the Said William Kissell on a private examination by me, separately and apart form her said husband, and acknowledged that she executed said DEED freely, and without any fear or compulsion from any one.
