"Peter Ormsbee was born in Vermont, the son of Samuel and Hannah Ormsbee, May 16, 1800. He came to Louisville about 1830.
He m. 1st. Sallie Hackett in 1822. They had 5 children. She d. 1833
He. m. 2nd Eliza Tracy of Massena, N.Y. in 1834, had 5 children.
She d. June 6, 1855 aged 41 yrs. Buried in W. Orvis St. Cemetery, Massena, N.Y. The date of death is from History. Her grave stone has been reset and the dates are covered.
He m. 3rd. May 25, 1856 Phebe Chamberlain, She d. Oct. 12, 1884 in her 84th year. (GR) at Madrid, N.Y. Buried in Chamberlain Corners Cemetery near Waddington, N.Y.
Peter died Apr. 28, 1872

A son, Amos Ormsbee, b. at Louisville Oct. 16, 1844. He enlisted Oct. 22, 1861 in Co. K 92d N.Y. Vols. and served 3 yrs. and 2 months. In Oct. 31, 1872, he married Jeanette Ferguson of Canada, b. Nov. 20, 1853. They had a son, Daniel P. Ormsbee. who d. at the age of 5 months."

This 122 acres is all the land Peter ever had and it remained in the family until the death of his son, Amos, in 1930. The farm was in the Town of Louisville, but close to the line of the Town of Massena.
