Melvina M. Ormsby is buried in E. Poultney, Vt. Cemetery on the lot with her grandfather, Jacob. Grave stone is marked, "Daughter of Lucius and Sarah E."

After the death of his 1st wife and before the census of 1855, Lucius m. 2nd. Fanny Race Freeman, widow of John Freeman, who d. Jan. 3, 1849 aged 35 yrs. (Union Cemetery, Ft. Edward, N.Y.) There were no Ormsby children by this marriage but Fanny brought 2 Freeman step-children into the family; listed in the 1850 census as;
