"Asa Lamb married before 1789, Mary, born Woodstock, Conn. 27 Sept. 17(70); bapt. July 14, 1771; daughter of Joseph and Abigail (Flint) Ormsbee. In 1800, they lived at Fairlee, Vt. Asa Lamb died at (illegible) 6 June 1789."

It is beleived that Joseph was married to Abigail Flint although there seems to be no record; that the first 4 children were by her. Note the name Rufus Flint. Then in the gap between 1778 and 1784, Joseph married. Christian and the last two children were by her.

He (Joseph Ormsbee) moved from Woodstock between 1788 and 1800 to Fairlee, Vt. where he is probably the Joseph in the 1800 census. He married Christian - - - -.

In the Probate office at Wells River, Vt., his intestate estate was filed for probate on Nov. 25, 1805 (indicating the year of his death). Christian Ormsbee, widow of Joseph Ormsbee, late of Fairlee presented the estate. She declined to be the administrator; therefore, Rufus F. Ormsbee was appointed administrator.
