Jonas G. was the letter writer of the family and had much correspondence
with his cousin, Russell M. Ormsbee regarding other members of
the family.
Note: At the small Village of North Calais, Vt., mentioned above, there is a small Memorial Park in which there is a large granite monument on which is fastened a large bronze plaque on which is listed the names of "Residents who have served in the Wars of the United States"

He was born, 1720, in Rehoboth, Mass.; died in Richmond, N. H.

N. H., where he died; he was born in Rehoboth, Mass.
John Holbrook (1747-1817) turned out at the Lexington Alarm in
Capt. Samuel Read's company. He was born in Uxbridge, Mass.; died
