Currently held by the Special Collections Department of the Smathers
Libraries, the collection consists of numerous books, publications,
reference materials, published editions and manuscripts of his
own works, and original plans from many of his projects donated
by Mr. Simonds. The department is processing and adding materials
to the collection as they are received. The printed materials
and manuscripts are presently stored at the library's Limited
Access Depository; requests for these materials must be made through
the Special Collections Department at least one full business
day ahead . The plans from many of his projects are currently
stored at the Special Collections Department and are available
for onsite perusal. Additionally, Mr. Simonds has provided a series
of "Commentary's" that accompany the donated materials
and give background information, his own perspectives on the field
of landscape architecture and its changes, individual projects
and the basis for the reference materials he used.
