He appoints his cousin (nephew) William Carpenter, of Cumberland, his executor, son of his brother, Ebenezer of Attleboro."He was living at the time of his death, with his nephew, William, son of his brother, Ebenezer of Attleboro. He gave to his nephew, William, all the residue of his personal property if he supported him the rest of his life.

Henry Briggs entered Revolutionary War services from Dighton, Mass. on May 1, 1775 and was discharged April 1, 1776.
In 1790, he was living at Putney, Windham Co., Vt. In 1806/8, he came to Westville Center, Franklin Co., N.Y. where he died. His wife, Sally died there also. Her GR in Cole Hill Cemetery reads, "Sally Briggs, wife of Henry, died Sept. 15, 1835 in her 82nd year".
Henry Briggs' son Ira also lived at Westville Center, N.Y. and died there. His wife as recorded on her grave stone was "Jemima".
