Subject: Ormsby/Ormsbee Family
My name is Kenneth (Ken) Ormsbee. I'm a descendant of Richard Ormsby (1602 - 1664). I happened upon your web site (Ormsby.org - Ormsby.net) and found it very interesting. Our family happens to be one of the ones that branched of with the Ormsbee spelling rather than the Ormsby. In following the family history the spelling kept changing back and forth. I don't know if it was the result of family feuds or something simpler than that.
I have photographs of some of my more recent ancestors that I would gladly share for your web site if you are interested. They include (my gr grandmother) Jullette French Ormsbee b abt 1846, Springfield, Hampden, Mass. Also, another one of Julliette's sons, (my grandfather) Daniel George Ormsbee, b 14 Jul 1869, Dummerston, VT., d abt 1917, Millers Falls, Franklin, Mass. I also have a photo of Daniel George Ormsbee's wife, (my grandmother) Estella May Lord Ormsbee, b 25 May 1873, d 23 Jun 1936. In addition I have a copy of the original wedding certificate of Daniel and Estella from their marriage on 25 May 1894. The final photo is of the headstones of Daniel and Estella. They are buried in a small cemetery in the town of Millers Falls, Hampden, Mass.
All of these have been scanned and are in my computer. If you are interested in any or all of them let me know and I'll email them to you.
