From; R.I. VR Vol. 17; "Eliza Ormsbee, youngest daughter of Col. Caleb Ormsbee of Providence, and John Wing of Providence, married Oct. 12, 1806."
He was a soldier of the Revolution, The Rhode Island Society of the Sons of the American Revolution has recorded his grave:
"Ormsbee, Caleb, d. Dec. 31, 1807 aged 55 yrs.
Service; In 1780, he was a private in Capt. Jebez Bullock's Co., in Col. Carpenter's Regt. on the march to Tiverton, R.I.
Buried; Newman Cemetery (Congregational) in Rumford, R.I.

"The Architect of the Congregational Meeting House in Providence was Caleb Ormsbee who was assisted by John Holden Greene. Little is known of the prior and subsequent career of Caleb Ormsbee (1757-1807). He is supposed to have designed the Joseph Nightingale house on Benifit St."
