"Among the first Town officers, Benjamin Ormsbee was Town
Clerk and Selectman. Town Clerk 1820/21, and 1824 to 1828. The
Town was organized 30 yrs. without the right to a representative.
In 1823, this right was granted and in 1824, Benjamin Ormsbee
was elected as the first Representative, also in 1826/27. He was
in the Town from 1802 to 1830."
