A Stephen Bowen accompanied Isaac Ormsbee on their trip from Barrington,
R.I. to the Town of Greenfield, Saratoga Co., N.Y. when they both
bought land from Royal Easterbrook, and moved there. (See log
of this trip)
Notes about a Stephen Bowen are found in the old papers at the
Ormsbee residence near Porter Corners, N.Y.
From: Rehoboth VRs. Stephen Bowen of Rehoboth m. Sept. 17,
1794 Susannah Ormsbee of Rehoboth. She was b. Sept. 17, 1765 and
was a second cousin of Isaac Ormsbee.
In the Diary of RMO under the date May 9, 1833,
"Mrs. Bowen d. today at a little past 12". If this was
Susannah, her age would be 67 yrs.
