This family (Descendants of Roger Williams, the founder of
the Colony of Rhode Island) is of interest because of the early
connection with the Blackmar
family which later united with the Ormsbee Family by the
marriage of Isaac
Ormsbee, Jr. and Anna W. Blackmar. Also; Amy Williams, the
first wife of Russell
M. Ormsbee was a direct descendant of Roger Williams.
For the early Blackmar connections reference is made to; Austin's
"Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island".
