Elias married 2d (time unknown) Thankful Graves. She is bur. in Village Cemetery, Orwell, Vt. by him. Her stone reads, "Thankful, his wife, d. Nov. 4, 1838 aged 77 years" (GR). Elias served in the Rev. War in the Mass. Militia under Capt. Samuel Morrison and was at the surrender of Burgoyne. Many DARs have used this service.
