Stave Mill Ledger

1860

This section contains pages from a ledger. It is hard to read, but I believe it is "Stave Mill". Some of the pages have been scanned at a high resolution to keep them legible.

1973 Contennial publication, The Deerfield Album", speaks of Lysander Ormsby, born Westhampton Co., Jass. on July 5, 1815. He came to the area in 1837, settling first at Summerfield Township, about 1 1/2 miles east of Deerfield, and later moved into the village. He operated a stave mill and general store. There are entries in the ledger for Lysander's brothers; Calvin Ormsby and Eratus Day Ormsby.
