Diana Clark was sister of Ester Clark. Diana married Selah and Ester married Selah's brother Calvin.

In 1860 Calvin Ormsby was in Deerfield MI and appears to have been in business with his two brothers. Entries for him are found in a Stave Mill Ledger.

1973 Contennial publication, The Deerfield Album", speaks of Lysander Ormsby, born Westhampton Co., Jass. on July 5, 1815. He came to the area in 1837, settling first at Summerfield Township, about 1 1/2 miles east of Deerfield, and later moved into the village. He operated a stave mill and general store.

Simeon Clark was born in Easthampton, Hampshire, MA 10 Feb 1777. Simeon died in Huntsburg,
Geauga, OH. He married Rhoda Hannum in Easthampton, Hampshire, MA. Rhoda was born
Northampton, Hampshire, MA 6 Sep 1777. Rhoda was the daughter of Joel HANNUM and Esther ?. Rhoda died 6 Apr 1852 in Huntsburg, Geauga, OH, at 74 years of age. Taken from 'The History of Easthampton' by Payson W. Lyman (1866) - "Simeon, the oldest son, was born Feb. 10, 1777, and spent the greater part of his life in Easthampton. He was a carpenter by trade, and was often entrusted with the care of difficult peices of work. Among other things, he built a bridge across Mill river in Northampton, about the year 1820. He finally went to Huntsburg, Ohio where he died. His children were eight in number, viz: Simeon Parsons, Coleman, Mercy, Tertius, Esther, Lewis, Diana, Abner Laurens."

    Cuyahoga Co. Ohio. She married Selah ORMSBY. Selah was born Northampton, Hampshire, MA 28 Mar 1812. Selah died 28 Mar 1876 in Casey, Clark Co. Illinois, at 64 years of age. Diana CLARK and Selah ORMSBY had the following child: Charles Clark ORMSBY, born 20 Aug 1838.
  2. Coleman CLARK was born in Easthampton, Hampshire, MA. He married Esther JANES in Easthampton, Hampshire, MA. Esther was the daughter of Obadiah JANES and Esther LYMAN. Removed to Ohio.
  3. Mercy CLARK was born in Easthampton, Hampshire, MA. She married Abner WADE.
  4. Tertius CLARK.
  5. Lewis CLARK was born in Easthampton, Hampshire, MA. Removed to Ohio.
  6. Abner CLARK was born in Easthampton, Hampshire, MA.
  7. Esther CLARK was born in Massachusetts 1811. She married Calvin ORMSBY in Easthampton, Hampshire, MA, 3 May 1834.

Fern Griswold

Mrs. Fern Griswold, 88, formerly of the 4300 block of Westway Street, died today in the Lake Park Nursing Care Center, where she had lived the last two years. She was the widow of Fred Griswold. She was a legal secretary many years for the law firm of Spengler, Nathanson, Heyman, McCarthy, and Durfee, retiring 10 years ago. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Ansbert-West Mortuary, where the body will be after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
