I suspect this was John Ormsby for he had sons, Seth and Willard which were Eells names.

Note: In the VRs of Pawlet, Vt., we find Jane, dau. of Samuel and Rachel Ormsby b. Feb. 26, 1815. From Peru, N.Y. VRs, we learn that Bradford Ormsby, of Peru, was b. Mar. 22, 1818 at Pawlet, Vt. but no parents given. This would indicate the possibility that Jane and Bradford Ormsby might be brother and sister.
