Additional Facts:

While the Vital Records of Hampton, Conn. and church record names as Bela or Bella, the family records call him William, and he seems to have been known best by that name.
In April 1825, William bought a home in the Town of Hebron, N.Y. and resided there until 1835/36 when he moved to Western N.Y. Washington County, N.Y. land records in Deed Book R p. 275 dated Apr. 27, 1825, and Deed Book NN p. 572 dated Oct. 2, 1835 reflect these moves.

He was listed in the 1825 census of the Town of Hebron, N.Y.
