History of Rehoboth, Mass. by Tilton (1918). Jacob Ormsbee was one of the list of persons sharing in land deeded to Rehoboth by King Philip in May 1668, but in the deed made by Wm. Bradford to Rehoboth in 1689, the list of Inhabitants and Proprietors who shared in land names Mary Ormsbee, the daughter of Jacob Ormsbee. (Jacob was dead at this time and his daughter Mary was his only heir.)

Early Rehoboth by Bowen. Jacob Ormsby was one of 17 left out of Bliss History of Rehoboth list of persons subscribing money to carry on War with King Philip.; List of inhabitants who advanced money to the Town of Rehoboth in Jan. 26, 1676 to defray cost of King Philipís war, were John Ormsbee Ls 2-15-00; Jacob Ormsbee Ls 1-09-06.

Early Rehoboth by Bowen. Mary (Perrin) Ormsbee married (second) at Rehoboth, Dec. 27, 1677, Nicholas Ide, born Nov. 1654, died at Attleboro, MA. June 25, 1723, son of Nicholas Ide and Martha (Bliss) Ide. See below.

Source: Genealogy of the Bliss Family. - The Widow Ide had a son Nicholas Ide who is referred to as a son-in-law in Thomas Bliss' will. Nicholas was b. about 1620 and was a contestant in King Philip's War. He was m. May 16, 1647 at Springfield, Mass to Martha, whose surname is supposed by some to have been Bliss. She was buried Nov. 3, 1676 at Rehoboth, Mass. To this union was born a son. Lieut. Nicholas Ide, Nov, 1654 at Rehoboth. He was a weaver and married Dec. 27, 1677 at Rehoboth to Mary Ormsby (dau. of Richard Ormsby). Richard Ormsby was b. about 1602 in Lincolnshire, England and m. about 1640 to Sarah [Upham?) Wanton, a widow. Mary Ormsby was buried Sept 9, 1690 at Rehoboth. Their children were born between 1678 and 1693; Nathaniel (who d. Mar. 14, 1702/3), Jacob, Martha (b. Mar. 18, 1682 old style at Rehoboth, m. Nov. 8, 1705 to Zachariah Carpenter (b. July 1, 1680 at Rehoboth and d. there Apr. 18, 1718), and d. at Rehoboth June 17, 1727). Patience, John and Benjamin. Lieut. Nicholas Ide was m. a 2nd time to Eliza, and d. June 5, 1723. Another son, Nicholas Ide, Jr., was b. July 25, 1697 in Attleborough, Mass.

Hartford Times of Feb. 9, 1957 (Answer gives as reference; Rehoboth VRs Hartford Times June 1, 1939; Genealogies of New England Vol. 14; and Bliss Gen. by Hoppin, for the following; Nicholas Ide, the emigrant came to America about 1635 with his mother and step-father Thomas Bliss, and 6 Bliss Children. He married his step-sister, Martha Bliss. Another son was Timothy Ide, born in . Rehoboth Oct. 1660, died Nov. 30, 1731. married Oct. 20, 1687 Elizabeth Cooper, born Rehoboth Aug. 8, 1662, died Feb. 8, 1774/5.

Hartford Times of Mar. 23, 1957, it is stated; Nicholas Ide was born in England 1620, married before 1647 Martha Bliss. He was one of the first settlers of Rehoboth, Mass. in 1643; Freeman in 1648. He died Oct. 16, 1690.

John Perrin was in Braintree soon after 1640. Then he moved to Rehoboth. He was a man of prominence, elected to town office, and serving on the jury. His wife was named Hannah. The will of John Perrin was dated 16 Jun 1674 and probated on 23 Nov 1674, and are printed in The Mayflower Descendants, Volume 34, page 35-36. He made bequest to his wife Anna, his two sons John and Abraham, Anna/Hannah my eldest daughter, and Mary my other daughter. He had real estate worth 230 pounds and a total inventory of 275 pounds.
